Looking at the 2008 primary in Hamilton County reveals some interesting results. The Hamilton County column shows the percent of registered voters living in the area in 2008. The Dem and Republican Primary columns show what percent of the vote in each primary comes from the corresponding locale.
So why is Monzel a "son of the suburbs?" Looking at the chart, the answer becomes fairly obvious. It's because he wants to win. Only 18% of Republican primary voters in Hamilton County live in the City of Cincinnati.
